An AI runs your first interview. It tells you so.

A plain notice for candidates. What the AI does, what it never does, and how to reach a person.

AI interview notice
On this page

Crivello is built and tested on our machines. It is not live yet. The wording you will see in the product is a draft for a lawyer to review.

We use AI#

In short. AI reads your resume and runs your first interview. It says it is an AI before the first question.

The company you applied to uses Crivello. AI reads your resume against the role. Then an AI interviewer runs your first interview by voice, on camera. It is 15 minutes unless the company sets another length. Interviews are in English.

Interview room, first wordsExample

“This round is conducted by an AI interviewer.”

  • AI interview
  • Recording
  • How we use your data

The sentence in quotes is fixed in our code; the AI says it at the start, with your first name and the company. It also tells you the call is recorded with your consent. Before the room opens, you agree to the three things above, one by one.

What is assessed#

In short. Only the skills the company chose. Every score quotes your own words. No quote, no score.

Only the skills the company chose for this role. Each skill has 4 written levels. Every score must quote your own words, with the time in the interview. If there is no quote, there is no score. The notice on your job page lists the skills.

What is never used#

In short. Not your name, gender, age, religion, caste or school. We never score emotion.

The resume screen is told never to use your name, gender, age, religion, caste, marital status, nationality, photo, or how famous your school or employer is. A second AI model re-scores your interview with your name removed. We never score emotion.

Checks in the interview room#

In short. We note things like leaving the window or pasting. A note never changes your score and never rejects you. A person looks.

In interview rooms we note leaving the window, pasting text, typing bursts and code that matches an AI answer. You agree to this before each room. Each note is evidence for a person to look at, never a verdict:

  • It never changes your score.
  • It never moves you to another stage.
  • It never rejects you on its own.

Every check is still in testing, and we have no false-flag numbers yet. Camera checks are building next. They are switched off, so nothing is taken from your camera for them. You can see what was noted about you on your data page, and tell us your side.

Where people come in#

In short. A person settles disagreements, checks every finalist and approves feedback. The company decides.

  • A second AI model, from a different company, re-scores your interview. When the two disagree on a must-have skill, a person decides.
  • A person on our team reviews every finalist packet.
  • If your resume is screened out, that happens automatically. You get a written reason, and you can reply to reach a person.
  • The company makes the hiring decision. Its final round is with a person.

Your choices#

In short. Ask for a person instead of the AI, or for a person to re-check your result.

  • Ask for a human interviewer. Use the button on your invite or interview page; we email you within 5 days to arrange a person.
  • Ask a person to re-check your result. We answer within 5 business days.
  • Withdraw a consent, or ask us to delete your recording.

Recording and your data#

In short. The recording is deleted 180 days after your interview. You can see, download or delete your data.

We record video and audio and make a transcript. We delete the recording 180 days after your interview, or sooner when you ask. We keep the transcript, feedback and scores for one year as a hiring record. The company may share your interview with a co-founder involved in the decision. See, download or delete your data from the link in your invite email; we answer within 30 days. Details are in the privacy policy.

Feedback#

In short. If you are not chosen, you get written feedback, checked by a person, in about 72 hours.

If you are not chosen, you get written feedback, checked by a person, in about 72 hours after your interview is scored. If it takes longer, we email you a new date, within 5 business days.

Your rights under the law#

In short. In India and the EU you can ask about your data and complain to the regulator.

In India, the DPDP Act lets you ask what we hold, correct or erase it, and complain to our grievance officer and then the Data Protection Board of India. In the EU and UK, the GDPR also gives you the right to have a person review a decision made only by a machine.

Who to contact#

In short. content@crivello.ai, or the company contact on your invite.

content@crivello.ai, or the hiring company contact named on your invite.

The fine print

Use the button on your invite or interview page, and we email you within 5 days to arrange one. Or write to content@crivello.ai.
